Waterfern Gardens is surrounded by thousands of acres of pristine rainforest, including the World Heritage listed Ella Bay National Park.

Native fauna and flora abounds, including the rare flightless Cassowary bird, the beautiful Ulysses and Cairns Birdwing butterflies, wallabies and birds of many species.

We are currently working with Queensland Parks & Wildlife as part of the Cassowary Recovery Program, resulting in guests having a good chance of seeing this unique bird in its natural element on our property.
